The 6th Book… Just a few thoughts about the book, what do you think about the book?
Finally got the book this afternoon, and read it, it took me about 4 ½ hours… Can’t say I loved the book, but it was definitely INTRESTING.
SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Turn Back If You Haven’t Read The Book!
Last Warning!
Only the Lavender/Ron thing was a bit surprising, and Snape becoming the defence teacher, instead of staying as the potions teacher.
The best thing about the book was that we finally got to know a lot more about Riddle and his past. And that he definitely is a descendant of Salazar Slytherin. Can’t stop wondering if Harry is the “heir” of Gryffindor, I mean his parents lived at godric’s hollow and he could use the sword of Gryffindor. I really wonder if the sword will play a part in the final book.
The Quidditch team and Harry’s Malfoy stalking took a lot of space in the book, I personally would have liked a bit more plot. I mean Harry going on about Malfoy and Snape isn’t so intresting is it?
I wonder if AD knew his time was up? And what will Harry do in the future, who will train him after Dumbledore is gone. Not that Harry recieved a lot of magical training or any other kind of special training, except for a better insight to the life of Tom Riddle.
The Half-Blood Prince, I really like the idea of Snape being the “prince”, despite his obvious betrayal, I wonder what will happen to him next. And what will happen to young Mr. Malfoy? Is he really going to stay with the DE’s? Or will Voldemort find him to be too weak?
Also wonder if the House-Elves will play a important part later on, I mean they have always played some part in the books. First Dobby, then Winky and now Kreacher. That Kreacher actually became Harry’s elf was somewhat surprising.
The end, where Harry “dumps” Ginny “to keep her safe”, was so clichéd after reading so many fanfics. But honestly does Harry really believe Voldemort doesn’t know how close Harry is to the Weasleys, It’s not like dumping her will keep her so much safer.
I really think Harry should have spoken a few words at AD’s funeral and he should do something more about the Ministry’s proposals.
One really good thing about the book was Tonks and Lupin getting together, the last Marauder really deserves some happiness. We can only hope they both will survive! (Yup, Die-hard fan of Tonks/Lupin)
hmm… Also really would have wanted to read more Prime Minister & Fudge scenes!
as I said these are just a few random thoughts about the book...
