...with Lord of the rings
oh... I thought I have got bored of Lord of the rings.. but when I started re-reading a couple of days ago.. couldn't stop until my eyes turned red... it's just such a great book.. I mean for a person who's read the silmarillion, the unfinished tales.. and the hobbit.. I think it's an even greater experience to read it again.. I mean it's so great to read it again and "meet" all the people in it again... cuz they're like a family to me... LOL
I just love the fact that he created own languages for the people... I mean authors just don't do that often.. also love mythologies... so...I hope one day that I'll have the chance to learn elvish...actually have signed up on elvish newsletters.. so Now I might learn a bit Quenya..
and the only thing that bothers me with lord of the rings is that there's so few female charachters I mean we female just don't do so much in the books..
oh.. also read the book after seeing Fotr.. read the book in three days I think...
so anyone want to share your experiences with LOTR...?

The last time I tried re-reading the book, maybe a week ago, I got to somewhere in the middle of Fotr. I then came to the conclusion that I should also get the book in swedish and finnish.
I love reading it in english and all because of the names not being changed and the quotes that you can recoqnize from the movie, but it just takes too long for me. I read MUCH faster swedish and finnish, I just don't have the patience to read them in english.

the first time i read LOTR was when i was a freshmen in HS (currently a senior in HS). my US history 1 teacher said if we read the Hobbit and do a book report on it he'll give us extra credit. i read it, got the EC. and about a month later, the trailers for FOTR came out and instant got hooked. the following semester, i read the trilogy.
